Though still somewhat debated, many scholars now believe this to be an actual photograph of Vincent van Gogh. The only other picture they have of him as an adult is of his back while chatting up a friend (which I sorta dig and think makes a spooky little desktop wallpaper). Anyway, look at the eyes: I do not wish to see all that they do, Starry Night be damned. Many experts are now also saying that the photo lends itself to the notion that alongside such company as Vermeer and Caravaggio, van Gogh cut a few corners by using this and a few other photos in conjunction with a camera obscura/lucida. But whatever, even while tracing I couldn't do what they could.
